Greek 2: Reading the Greek New Testament
Greek 2: Reading the Greek New Testament is designed for those students who have successfully completed the equivalent of TBI’s Greek 1 course.
While continuing to build on the student’s knowledge of grammar, vocabulary and syntax, the course spends the majority of the time in the Biblical text itself. Students are introduced to the various methods and steps of exegesis and then asked to apply these methods to passages in the New Testament. Students will focus particularly on the skills of diagramming and discourse analysis (also known as “arcing” or “bracketing”) in order to gain richer understandings of New Testament Greek.
